Every car is covered
All cars on Dodo Rent are listed by verified local rental companies and come with comprehensive insurance. The cover summary and the excess amount are shown on each car page before you book.
Excess & what you cover
Damage is covered by the company's comprehensive insurance. What you can be asked to pay towards it is capped — that cap is shown on every car page as "If the car is damaged", and it is the insurance excess. Most companies on Dodo Rent take no deposit at all: nothing is held on your card, and you only pay if damage actually happens. Where a company does take a deposit, its car page says how much and whether it is a card hold or cash.
Full cover extra
Some companies offer a full-cover extra that reduces what you'd cover to zero. When it is available it appears in the extras list on the car page and at checkout.

Use the SOS button on your trip page — our operators are available around the clock and will coordinate with the rental company and the insurer for you.
